Author Information

People write memoirs for many reasons but mostly because they want to share their stories. That's the case with me. I am not afraid to tell what happened to me, my siblings, and my mother as a result of being subjected to cruel indifference and poverty simply because the wealthy man who was my father decided he didn't want to take responsibility for his mistress and the five children he had with her. I'm not afraid to tell you that the anger and confusion I felt because of my upbringing in a run-down housing project in Lowell, Massachusetts, led me to a life of drug and alcohol addiction that nearly killed me. What saved me was my deep commitment to seek justice against all odds.As I sit down to write this book, I am proud to say that I have been clean and sober since 1988. I have prevailed against my father and his family, at least to the extent currently possible under the law. I have claimed my rightful name.
