12:22 Poi disse ai suoi discepoli: Per questo vi dico: Non siate in ansia per la vostra vita, di quello che mangerete; né per il vostro corpo, di quello che indosserete. 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 12:23 La vita vale più del cibo e il corpo più del vestito. 12:23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 12:24 Considerate i corvi: non seminano né mietono, non hanno dispensa né granaio, e Dio li nutre. Quanto più valete voi degli uccelli! 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 12:25 E chi di voi, con la sua sollecitudine, può aggiungere alla sua statura un cubito solo? 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 12:26 Se dunque non potete fare neppure la cosa minima, perché vi preoccupate del resto? 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 12:27 Considerate i gigli, come crescono: non faticano, non filano; eppure io vi dico che Salomone, con tutta la sua gloria, non fu vestito come uno di loro. 12:27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 12:28 Se dunque Dio veste così l'erba che oggi è nel campo e domani è gettata nel forno, quanto più vestirà voi, gente di poca fede? 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 12:29 E non cercate che cosa mangerete o che cosa berrete, e non siate indecisi. 12:29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 12:30 Perché tutte queste cose le genti del mondo cercano; ma il Padre vostro sa che ne avete bisogno. 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
