OverviewIkonen waren zunachst im Wesentlichen byzantinisch und spater russisch. Dennoch wussten auch die Christen des Orients, insbesondere die der Balkanstaaten und der Ukraine, darin eine neue Annaherung an ihren Glauben zu finden.
