Author Information

Denise Lewis Patrick wrote and illustrated her first book when she was 10. Today, Denise has published more than 35 picture books, biographies, and historical novels for young readers. Winona Nelson is a member of the Leech Lake Band of Minnesota Chippewa. She was born in 1983, grew up in Duluth, Minnesota, and studied art at the Safehouse Atelier in San Francisco. She now lives in Philadelphia and loves to travel the world.
