Superb! A wonderful story of devotion and tough times... -C. Paul Hilliard, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, National WWII Museum Fantastic book! Nadine Taylor's latest work, If My Heart Had Wings, is, hands down, my very favorite read of 2018. It's a rare and honest glimpse into the author's family, the secrets they kept, the struggles they encountered, and the hard-won answers that finally brought about peace and resolution for Ms. Taylor and her sister. -Denise Dudley, Founder and former CEO, SkillPath Nadine Taylor takes us on a suspenseful journey as she uncovers the mystery behind her mother's secret first marriage during WWII. A deeply moving tribute, meticulously researched and engaging from start to finish. -Carol Starr Schneider, writer I found this historical memoir to be fascinating Not the usual WWII story, If My Heart Had Wings is at once poignant and heartbreaking... a loving tribute to family, first love, and finding one's roots. Nina's plight at the hands of her second husband deals with two major domestic problems - alcoholism and domestic abuse - that are still prevalent today. If My Heart Had Wings is a loving tribute to family, first love, and finding one's roots. Well written and edited, this was a joy to read. -Marion Marchetto, author of The Bridgewater Chronicles This book is subtitled as a World War II love story... but it is so much more than that. It is a memoir and biography of a woman, Nina, the author's mother. It is also about Nadine Taylor's search for answers to the mystery of Nina's brief but loving first marriage. Beyond that is the story of the various effects and after-effects of war on those who served in the military and those who waited and dealt with the returning veterans. And above all, this is a story of a woman who was able to turn her life around... I recommend this to anyone who likes World War II tales and stories about strong women who never give in to adversity. -Miss Dorothy, Vine Voice

Author Information

"Nadine Taylor has authored, edited, and ghostwritten more than twenty books, including New York Times bestsellers and national bestsellers, many of which have been translated into several languages and sold internationally. A registered dietitian, Nadine began her writing career in the health field, editing the New York Times #1 bestseller ""The Arthritis Cure"" and penning the popular ""Arthritis for Dummies"" and ""Green Tea: The Natural Secret to a Healthier Life,"" before branching out into memoir, psychology and business. In 2018, Nadine's memoir/biography of her mother, ""If My Heart Had Wings: A World War II Love Story"" was published to excellent reviews. It's the fascinating story of Nadine's discovery, at age 13, of her mother's secret marriage to a pilot who was killed during World War II, and how the pilot continually ""reappeared"" in their lives, eventually changing them for the better. Nadine lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Barry Fox, who is also a best-selling author."
