Jeff Rector is an American actor, award-winning writer, director, producer, comedian and adventurer. He has appeared in over 150 television shows and motion pictures and has traveled to exotic locations all around the world.He has worked with such stars as Tom Cruise, Charlie Sheen, Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Tom Hanks to name a few. But Jeff doesn't like to name drop.He is a certified ski instructor and scuba diver and trained by the LA Fire Department as a Certified Emergency Response Technician (C.E.R.T.) Jeff swam with sharks in Tahiti, water skied in Kowloon Bay and jumped from an airplane as the lead in a skydiving film.Jeff was a State and National speech champion in college and is an award-winning speaker with Toastmasters. He continues his passion of acting, filmmaking, writing, public speaking and stand-up comedy. He also enjoys teaching acting workshops to educate and inspire others. His community involvement includes serving on the Board of the Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council and the Burbank Cultural Arts Commission as well as supporting a variety of charitable organizations.I Was a Playboy Rabbit and other Stories is the first book based on Jeff's life as he pursued and achieved his dreams of acting and stardom. He moved from California to New York and worked as an actor, model, stand-up comedian and waiter. Bucklin received a Bachelors Degree in English and Theatre from Windham College where he studied with John Irving (World According to Garp). After moving to Los Angeles at 25, he worked as an actor on such notable shows as One Day At A Time, Waverly Wonders, Wavelength and Jurassic Park. He became a member of Theatre West in the early 80s where he co-produced ""The Dodo Bird"" and reactivated the writers workshop. He was Production Stage Manager for the West Coast Premier of David Mamet's play ""A Life in The Theatre"" at the Matrix Theatre, starring Bruce Davison, directed by David Birney and produced by Joe Stern. Brad was a Partner at the Empty Stage Theatre, where he produced the play ""Three,"" which he co-wrote with former Groundling Director Stan Wells and turned into the hilarious screenplay ""Sex and the Modern Marriage."" He directed the original one acts ""The Eros Thanatos Class"" and ""Twins"" (featuring Kristin Wigg) for the Award Winning Can Festival I & II. His play ""Mrs. Christmas"" was made into an Award Winning short film and he has since made over 18 shorts. He was Production Manager on the documentary ""Supporting Actors."" Currently (2024), he is working on a Documentary about Improv group the Trans4merZ featuring Lisa Kudrow and Conan O'Brien. He is a Director, editor on the nationally broadcast show Pat Pattison's Best of California. His editing experience includes both long form media (Films: After Ever After, El Gran Concierto Mariachi) and short form, including Music Videos, sizzle reals, trailers, YouTube videos. For nine years he taught editing Aesthetics and Story at the Post Production School Video Symphony.
