OverviewA great read for kids who love soccer, dogs and pranks. This book is written by a first time young author who tried most of these messy pranks himself. Matt wants to walk in the footsteps of his soccer idol, Lionel Messi, getting muddy on the soccer field. But there is his mom and her ridiculous war on dirt. He is done with being her gorgeous little boy, packaged in the neatest outfit the school has ever seen. Getting teased by everybody in Grade 4, and most of all, Patrick, the super-sized goalie of the B-Team. What is Matt going to do? He has a brilliant idea, a plan of dirt, grime, goo, and slime. But will his perfect revenge plan work and get everyone off his back or will it backfire? Matt's quirky and chaotic attempts of creating messiness for his own advantage and his seemingly fool-proof plans go pear-shaped spectacularly. But he learns to understand peer pressure and how to stand up to it. Soccer, his friends, and his dog are an essential part of the story. My 9 yr old related to the story line itself about school, friends, the struggle with fitting in & making new friends. My youngest thought it was an all around funny book because of the silly messes he would create or things that would happen. - Squats4Cookies This was a cute story about how a boy wanted to change people's perception of him. He was tired of being made fun of and he chose to focus on that specific trait. He does typical 4th-grade boy activities. I enjoyed that since it was written by a grade-schooler that it forced me into that mindset. As an adult and now a mom, forget that the goal of life is to have fun and explore, not keep everything presentable. A fast-read for any youngster that wants to escape reality and get a little dirty! - MnK Newman This book was a blast! Being the oldest of 6, 3 being brothers and now having 5 boys of my own and 1 daughter, I can completely relate to the different plans and episodes - a great fun and easy read for all the kids out there especially my 10 year old. He had a blast reading this. He actually askes to read it again because he enjoyed it so much. I really cant wait to read more by such an amazing author. - Blessed1 Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
