Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr. Curt Scarborough was born in Benton, IL in 1935, and graduated from the local high school in 1953. The son of a coal miner, he is an alumnus of Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ft. Worth, TX). He holds several graduate and post-graduate degrees including the DMin, DCEd, ThD, and PhD. After 21 years as a minister of Baptist churhes in IL, TX, and MO, he joined the staff of FreeWay Foundation (a Christian charitable foundation in St. Louis, MO). He served there as president and CEO until his retirement after 41 years of service. He founded Pillsbury College & Seminary, University of Applied Christianity, and CrossFire College all in MO. He also founded Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries, an accrediting agency with over 600 member schools in 34 US states and 60 other nations around the world. He has authored more than 100 books, mostly textbooks for the college and seminary where he was the Distinguished Professor of Biblical Studies. Hundreds of Dr. Curt's humorous essays, feature articles, devotional meditations, and short stories have been published in national monthly magazines and religious journals, including IDEALS and HOME LIFE. He also has composed the music and written the lyrics for more than a hundred praise-worship songs and hymns. Curt and his wife Roni (Veronica) make their home in St. Charles, MO. along with Alice N. Wanderland (a black-striped tiger cat) and Leonardo de Cattio (a long-haired ginger cat).
