The Hungarians were for most of the war loyal Allies of Hitler's Germany. Their armed forces contributed to the invasions of both the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, fighting alongside Germany. However, as the war grew steadily against the Axis powers, Hungary itself was soon invaded and Budapest surrounded by the Soviet soldiers. For the modeller this is ideal, as there are good kits available in both 1/72 (from IBG) and 1/35 (from Bronco Models) so I am sure this will attract many armour modellers as something that little bit different and with plenty of kits on the market to work with.
