HRT and Natural Alternatives

Overview

Traditionally Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) has been prescribed to reduce the symptoms of menopause, but there is still much disagreement and conflicting evidence about the uses and safety of HRT. Many women are now interested in alternatives because of concerns about the side-effects and the longer-term problems associated with HRT. As a result, complementary therapies, along with dietary changes, are becoming more popular as ways to reduce menopausal symptoms. Written by leading menopause and HRT specialist, Dr Nick Panay, HRT and Natural Alternatives is an objective, clearly written guide that will: expose the myths surrounding HRT; outline its pros and cons; put forward alternative natural remedies that work; and, help women to make an informed choice about the therapy that is right for them. HRT and Natural Alternatives is an essential guide for all women going through the menopause.
