Overview

Forget the landfill! Upcycle that old t-shirt, create awe-inspiring clothing, and do your part to save our suffering planet. Calin Duke's How to Upcycle Nearly Everything is the one-stop for shopping your closet, repurposing your old clothes and being the fashionista talk of the town. Rock the winter with your one-of-a-kind stocking cap, make visitors ask for your decorator's number with your rad pillow cover and keep your feet cozier than your favorite blankie with your handmade boot socks --- all using what you already have hanging out in the closets of your home. Calin's simple how-to upcycle clothing steps has a serious side: you will reduce your carbon footprint and the negative impact of fast fashion. Fast fashion is responsible for more carbon emissions than international travel and maritime shipping combined! By upcycling your old clothes and linens you can have *the latest* fashion trend without adding to climate change. What could be better than that? Re-Use and Re-Purpose Clothing to Become the Fashion Trend-Setter You Always Wanted to Be! Use basic sewing skills and upcycle your old button-ups, t-shirts, and sweaters to make pillow-covers, drawstring bags, napkins, scrunchies, skirts, tote-bags, wet wipes, plant hangers, stocking caps, fingerless gloves, and more! With laugh-out-loud illustrations and step-by-step basic sewing directions, How to Nearly Upcycle Everything is the go-to upcycling book for beginner and advanced sewers alike. Upcycling never looked so good!
