NANCY BEIMAN has over forty years experience in animation, storyboard, direction and character design for feature films, short films, and television. She taught animation courses at the graduate and undergraduate level for 20 years. Nancy is the author of two other books: PREPARE TO BOARD: CREATING STORY AND CHARACTERS FOR ANIMATED FEATURES AND SHORTS (Focal Press/Elsevier 2007, third edition CRC Press 2017) and ANIMATED PERFORMANCE: Bringing Imaginary Animal, Human and Fantasy Characters to Life (Bloomsbury Press/Fairchild Books, 2015, second printing 2021).
