'[Hour of the Assassin] restores your faith in writers of breathless thrillers, if not politicians ... The action is non-stop and the tradecraft - especially in the framing of the lone hero - is totally convincing' * Shots Magazine * 'Quirk does a great line in exciting chase novels and Hour of the Assassin is no exception; a great premise, an intelligent background story and plenty of action ... Well plotted, well written, entertaining' * NB Magazine * PRAISE FOR MATTHEW QUIRK: 'Quirk has earned his spot in the front ranks of thriller writers. Opens with a bang and keeps exploding for three hundred pages' David Baldacci. 'David Baldacci territory, but done with a refreshing vigour by Quirk who is making a name for himself as a thriller writer to watch' Daily Mail. 'Breathless stay-up-late suspense' -- Lee Child
