The story of a young girl and her fight to regain her voice after a car accident is truly amazing. The author grabs your attention and doesn't let go. I read it in less than two days and still find myself thinking about the tale, which is based on a true story. Highly recommended for teen readers.--Margaret Pemberton, Librarian at Growing the School Library Praise for Mimi Thebo's previous novel Dreaming the Bear: Mimi Thebo captures an authentic teen voice and the writing throughout the story is hauntingly beautiful, almost dreamlike in places, while remaining easy to read and enjoy. I was reminded of David Almond's children's classic Skellig and I can quite see Dreaming the Bear joining the canon of children's classics.--Bookbag Praise for Mimi Thebo's previous novel Dreaming the Bear: Mimi Thebo captures an authentic teen voice and the writing throughout the story is hauntingly beautiful, almost dreamlike in places, while remaining easy to read and enjoy.
