Author Information

The German-born author received two master's degrees in German and English literature and linguistics and her teaching credential in Germany before she earned a PhD in clinical psychology in California. This educational background, coupled with her personal background of being suicidal for twelve years, allowed her to help suicidal students on both sides of the Atlantic. She also provided support for a Kenyan woman in Nairobi whose adopted son committed suicide as a teenager.
