OverviewExperiments at the LHC have led to the discovery the higgs boson. More powerful machines will likely be constructed if only to look for new non-theoretically relevant physics, in other words, unspecified new phenomenon. It may be the case that the creation of supersymmetric particles will require higher energies than the LHC can obtain. According to the Minimally Super symmetric Standard Model, there are 4 different species of higgs bosons, and discovering some or all of these bosons would add great excitement to the field of high energy physics. The total energy of the massive particles would be the same were in not for the higgs field, with the difference that the particles would exist as light speed energy equivalence to their mass.
