Overview

One of today's most influential fashion designers, Hedi Slimane was born in Paris in 1967. Responsible for creating a new identity and style for the contemporary man, he is the person to whom we owe the transformation of the House of Dior into an icon of our times. This book is a result of a proposal by Francesco Bonami, curator of the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and the Director of the Venice Biennial, together with Jerome Sans, Co-Director of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, who suggested Slimane should set up an exhibition in Florence and publish this book.
