A new book from Mariano Castiglioni, one of the best traditional tattoo artist in Argentina. Artist Statement: In March 2020, the quarantine imposed a new way of life on all of us in Argentina. My profession, like so many others, suffered, but not my passion for developing my creative side. Slowly and consistently, I removed the rust of my hands and my head. Day after day, almost as a ritual, I saw myself painting characters and fantasy stories in different places in the house, influenced by different cultures and styles. Without noticing it, they were months of painting and painting. Every time it was time to start or follow a painting, I managed to fully descend into the watercolor and enjoy my parallel reality to the global health crisis. Hecho en Casa reflects the return to one of my loves that is painting: my refuge in the world of fantasy characters.
