Overview

The Five, The Creators, The Originators, have a problem. The messengers that they have continually sent to Earth have never been successful. They have recently sent their latest prospect back, and this time, they arranged a meeting with a man to help the messenger. Martin Lowe is a strong, loyal man and a loving husband. When he is taken from Earth and given a choice to go home with a mission or stay with his captors, he accepts their offer to return. But unfortunately, things go wrong. When he is returned, his life and everything he knew of it are gone. Jay Roberts has had enough of his mundane life and his wife's sarcastic demeanor, so he leaves the country searching for happiness and fulfillment. Within a week, he manages to lose his best friend and alienate his wife, and also finds himself in danger. As he is fleeing towards home, he has an encounter in the darkness of the desert night that eventually makes him question all he thought he knew about this world. Things only go from bad to worse for Jay, and eventually, he loses all hope. The collaboration between a disillusioned man of diminished character who has destroyed his life and a decent man of strength, courage, and integrity, who is in deep despair, does not go as planned. The Five decide to take unprecedented action and give a man a chance at a second life, a do-over, to share their message and earn redemption. A chance to save his soul, and the souls of all humanity.
