Jane Futcher has explored lesbian relationships since the 1981 publication of her first novel, Crush, an ""underground classic"" according to novelist Dorothy Allison, as it topped the Lambda Literary Society Bestseller List for months.Anne Lamott called Futcher's second novel, Dream Lover, ""absolutely wonderful - beautifully written and wise.""Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Futcher is a freelance writer who lives in Sonoma County, California. She's worked for several newspapers, a book publishing company, two colleges and a massage parlor.
