Overview

The Covid-19 pandemic, with its resulting lockdowns and significant changes to ways of working, has provided the opportunity to redefine the potential role that health and wellbeing can play within organisations. Empowering employees to work in ways that optimise their performance, acknowledging both personal and work demands, has created a new work paradigm that had previously not been considered. All savvy organisations will take this as a point in time to rethink business and HR practice, for the benefits of employees and employers. Written by Head of Associate Health and Wellbeing (Europe) at Mars Incorporated, Monika Misra and world-renowned expert on wellbeing in organisations, Cary Cooper, the book provides clear evidence of what worked well during, and now immediately subsequent to the Covid-19 pandemic to enable individuals and organisations to thrive. Basing recommendations on a robust evidence base and through real life practices within organisations, they provide a framework for a four-level response at organisational, team, management and individual levels. This book will provide an essential resource to stimulate company leaders, managers and HR directors use new insights and learnings from the Covid-19 pandemic to rethink, reframe, reboot, and practice new ways of working that enhances employee wellbeing and performance.

Reviews

"“Cary and Monika have achieved something extraordinary. This brave and innovative book addresses the issue that dare not speak its name – Wellness. Anyone involved in leading a team should read it. The whole person comes to work and more the whole person is considered, the more powerful the engagement will become. This book is ahead of its time.” Chris Lewis, Founder and CEO of Team Lewis, UK/US ""Wellbeing should be seen both as an outcome of good work, and a driver of an engaged and productive workforce. This book excellently brings together the evidence and the practices that drive a holistic and strategic approach to wellbeing, citing research and case studies in a way that is accessible to every leader and manager.""
