Despite their shared grief, Raegna and Bai resume their silence, bracing the walls between each other. Along the road, the Duchess of Galaenia finds them. Though wary of their appearance and the sealed message from Judr's Matriarch, she presents them to the Queen. Still, the tale of men wielding blades is laughable to the royal court. Raegna and Bai have to pretend their love to convince them of their marriage and their story.
