Harlo Lloyd Jones (December 29, 1923 - October 1, 2005) was a World War II bomber pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).Born in Dinsmore, Saskatchewan to a prominent family (Harlo's father Luther Jones owned several businesses, including Dinsmore's first power plant), young Harlo was known by the nickname Squirt because of his small stature. His older brother, RCAF pilot Dale Jones, was shot down and killed in 1940 during the Battle of Dunkirk. Undeterred, Harlo was eager to join the RCAF as soon as he was of age.
