Author Information

Arno Ritter, born in 1965, studied journalism, history and philosophy. From 1992 to 1995 he was the secretary at the OGfA - The Austrian Society for Architecture. Since 1995 he has been in charge of the aut. architektur und tirol (formerly Architekturforum Tirol). He has published numerous books, recently published with Springer: Italo Modern (978-3-7091-0851-2) Wolfgang Tschapeller, born in 1956, originally trained as a carpenter and thereafter completed his studies in architecture at the Academy for Applied Arts from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Since 2005, he is a professor of architecture at the Academy for Fine Arts in Vienna. Since 2012, he has served as head of the Institute for Art and Architecture. In addition to numerous teaching positions he has successfully realized several buildings' construction as an architect. Most recently,, he has won the competition for the expansion of the Academy for Fine Arts in Vienna.
