Author Information

The author has over a decade experience in the field of neurobiology and receptor biology. Dr Vijay Paramanik was born in Dhanbad, Jharkhand (a state in the eastern part) of India. Dr Paramanik completed his graduation in Zoology Honors with Botany and chemistry as other papers from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, Jharkhand, India. He did post-graduation in Zoology with specialization in Biochemistry from one of the most prestigious university of India, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. Dr Paramanik earned his doctoral thesis in the field of molecular neurobiology from BHU, in the year 2010. Dr Paramanik did his postdoctoral training from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, USA in the field of developmental biology and cell biology. Presently, he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Zoology, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, India. His research interest includes learning and memory and Indian traditional medicines. Currently, Dr Paramanik is a member of National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI); the oldest science academy of India, member of Indian Academy of Neurosciences and Treasurer of Association of Gerontology, India. He is recipient of several national and international fellowship, award and honours.
