Prior to this, she was Head of Scientific Research with the Ministry of Higher Education CAS-Salalah, Sultanate of Oman, and Professor (Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship) at IIIT Pune and BITS, India. With more than a decade of experience in the industry, consultancy, and training, she made a lateral switch to research and academics in 1995. Prof. Baporikar holds D.Sc. (Management Studies) from the USA and Ph.D. in Management from the University of Pune, India with MBA (Distinction) and Law (Hons.) degrees.
