De Nederlandse kunstschilder Han Snel (1925-1998) woonde en werkte gedurende een halve eeuw op het Indonesisch eiland Bali. The author has conducted extensive interviews with Han Snel. A second source of information is Siti Snel, his widow, who is still living in Bali.
