Author Information

Dr Chee Kuan Tsee received his medical education in Singapore and obtained both his Diploma in Psychological Medicine on a Colombo Plan Fellowship and; completed his membership examinations for the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the United Kingdom. He is the author of Guide to Psychiatry — Singapore Perspective, a well-received handbook for new trainees, medical officers and mental healthcare workers; now into its 16th edition. He was also the inaugural President of the Singapore Psychiatric Association and a Founding Council Member of the ASEAN Federation for Psychiatry and Mental Health. Dr Chee received the Public Administration (Sliver) medal in 1996 and the Lee Foundation-NHG Lifetime Achievement award in 2008. He is presently an Emeritus Consultant with the Institute of Mental Health, Singapore.
