She conducted many excavations in Epirus and Central Macedonia, and supervised the restoration of many monuments including those at Nikopolis, Arta, Thessaloniki and Olynthos, and set up the archaeological museums in Ionnina, Nikopolis and Arta. Her many publications deal mainly with the art, topography and inscriptions of ancient Macedonia and Epirus, and with ancient metalworking.
