Este CD-ROM contiene la Guia FAO para la identificacion de especies para los fines de la pesca correspondiente al Pacifico Centro-Oriental, publicada en tres volumenes en 1995. La publicacion describe las especies de interes para la pesca de los grupos mayores de recursos marinos y de aguas salobres explotados en la region. Se describen los principales grupos taxonomicos, incluyendo claves de identificacion ilustradas. La descripcion de las especies contiene: nombre cientifico, sinonimos usuales, nombres comunes FAO en tres lenguas, diagnosis, ilustraciones, tallas, habitat y biologia, distribucion geografica acompanada de un mapa, y pesca y utilizacion.
