A BOLD Prayer is a request that honors God and is in line with His Will, Commands and Promises for YOUR life. BOLD prayers are especially important for divorced parents. Divorced parents in this context refers to fathers and mothers who have legally dissolved their marriages with each other. Though God does not like divorce (Malachi 2:16), infidelity, abandonment, and abuse are biblical grounds for divorce. As a divorced parent, I have needed and used BOLD prayers for a myriad of obvious reasons. Divorce for me restored as well as destroyed much in its path, affecting not only us (the culprits) but our children, family, and friends as well. Dealing with the divorce created a variety of emotional highs and lows for us as a family. Two of the children started experiencing more problems at school and at home than before! Apart from dealing with unanswered questions from family and friends, I went to bed most nights searching my soul constantly for answers to my children's unasked questions. Divorce puts innocent children in a situation they never signed up for! These children, who were not parties to a marriage agreement nor parties to a divorce decision, now have to deal with the negative consequences of a divorce.
