Zeynep's expertise and research interests are in European Union law, competition law, law and economics. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, an LLB from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, an LLM from College of Europe (Bruges) and a PhD in private law from Ankara University. She was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Competition and Innovation, at the British Institute of International and Comparative law and at the University of Cambridge. She was a review panel member for COST Action for two years. She conducted a Seed Fund Project at Koç University on the regulation of collaborative platforms in the EU and its member states. She is the chair of the Law Schools Global League Business and Law Working Group. Dr. Işık Önay is an Assistant Professor at Koç University and the coordinator of the LLM program in Private Law. He holds an LLB from Koç University, an LLM from Queen Mary University of London and a PhD from Istanbul University and was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Law in Hamburg. His areas of interest and expertise are contract law, tort law and civil law. He was the chair of the organization committee for the 6th Annual Conference of Younger Comparativists Committee of the American Society of Comparative Law in 2017, which was hosted by Koç University.
