Jyothis Mary is a Teaching Scholar at the Centre for Trafficking, Exploitation, and Modern Slavery Studies at Hume Institute for Post-Graduate Studies, Lausanne, Switzerland. She is also a Legal Fellow, South Asia Team at the International Justice Mission. She holds a Master of Laws in Transnational Crime and Justice from the University for Peace and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, Italy. Amit Anand is presently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Legal Studies, REVA University, Bengaluru. He has completed his PhD (Law) from Lancaster University, U.K. in 2022 on the topic 'Unheard and Unnoticed: Violence Against Women in India (A Study of Practice of Witch-hunting, Honour Killing and Devadasi System)'. He holds LL.M (Human Rights) from the University of Reading, U.K. (2015) and B.A.LL.B. (Honours.) from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru (2014). He has presented several oral statements to separate United Nations Treaty Bodies. His joint submission on 'Measures to Prevent Sexual Abuse of Children in Residential Care Homes in India' to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), September 2021 has been cited by the UNCRC. He has also submitted written evidence to the Women and Equalities Select Committee, House of Commons, UK Parliament on 'Women's reproductive health in the UK', October 2023. He has several paper publications in both national and international peer reviewed journals. He has also presented his research at national and international conferences including at the University of Cambridge, UK. Dr. Alicia Danielsson, a distinguished academic and researcher, currently leads the Centre for Contemporary Coronial Law at the University of Bolton, a role she assumed in September 2022. In addition to this significant position, she also serves as the Director for the Centre for Trafficking, Exploitation and Modern Slavery Studies at the Hume Institute for Postgraduate Studies in Lausanne, Switzerland. This dual role underscores her commitment to addressing some of today's most pressing legal and humanitarian issues. Alicia's academic journey led her to earn her Ph.D. at Abertay University, Dundee, in 2021. Her thesis, titled 'Economic Activity or Public Order Limitations: The Interplay of the Regulation of Prostitution between National Law, EU Law and Efforts to Combat Human Trafficking, ' reflects her deep expertise in EU law, employment law, criminal law, contract law, and human rights law.
