Sharing is caring, and this book is designed to have its knowledge shared with your friends.Now that the sum of human knowledge - in the form of books - is easily accessible at the click of a button or the tap of a phone screen, it is more important than ever that you are able to filter your book recommendations.This book fills the Book Club void; within its pages, you can find book recommendations of three kinds. If you are a casual reader, you might want to start with the chapters that are dedicated to popular literature, both fiction and non-fiction. If you are a more seasoned book aficionado, and are looking for some deep cuts, the chapters dedicated to obscure books are a great way to get started. Finally, the last chapter of this book is dedicated to wild card recommendations; you can dip into it at any time and discover a book that might be a critics' dream or an audience's pick, a mammoth volume filled with dense meaning and allegory, or a quick read that spent weeks and years on book lists everywhere, but that might not have scored as highly with critics as the others elsewhere on this list.In this volume, you are given fortnightly book recommendations to tide you through an entire year! Every book title comes with three important pieces of data: the name of the author, the year of publication, and an average reader rating (out of 100). These three are all you need to discover a potentially new great book; this is all about exploration.I've made sure to give you more book recommendations for a fortnight than you can possibly finish reading; this way, you can use this book reading list year after year, and become a true bibliophile.Each book listed here has a rating out of 100. This is tallied from millions of other reader ratings, and is an accurate assessment of how much you can expect to enjoy the book.Each fortnight's recommendation set has a fairly large number of books in it; depending on how much free time you have, you might choose to read 1-3 of those books.Two more pieces of information can help you shortlist the books you want to read in a given fortnight. First, I have added the suggested number of hours that I took to read each book in the list. This does not necessarily mean that a big number of hours corresponds to a really long book; I sometimes re-read a short book many times if it's really profound. Remember, your mileage may vary!Finally, for those of you that are into Numerology, I have added a metric on the Lucky Number associated with each book (I calculated that from the number of pages in my copy; it took forever!).
