OverviewPlease note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Gessie is a small town in Highland Township, Vermillion County, Indiana in the United States. The sole business the town was a grain elevator on railroad street, next to the CSX railroad tracks, with a pepsi machine. Several years ago the grain elevator was destroyed by a tornado. Remnants of the elevator, were used to build a series of grain bins on the east side of town across the tracks. The town was laid out in 1872. It was named for Robert J. Gessie, who was the owner of the site of the town.
