Geospatial Technologies in Earth Science

Overview

Advances in geospatial technology have revolutionized how scientists collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data to study the Earth's systems. These tools enhance precision in mapping, monitoring, and modeling environmental and geological processes. Geospatial Technologies in Earth Science introduces the principles and applications of geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and global positioning systems (GPS). The book discusses data acquisition, spatial analysis, and visualization methods. It also explores their applications in natural resource management, disaster response, and climate research. Integrating theory with technical practice, it equips students and researchers with essential geospatial skills for understanding and managing Earth's dynamic systems.
