"Imagine one day you receive a letter in the mail that informs you that a large energy company is planning to build a massive pipeline through your property. That surveyors will be coming out soon. Jonathan Mingle is an independent journalist. Over the past fifteen years, he has written about climate change impacts and solutions, air pollution, public health, energy and resource issues, technology, and much more for a range of outlets including The New York Review of Books, The New York Times, Undark, Yale Environment 360, Slate, and The Boston Globe. As a 2020 Alicia Patterson Foundation Fellow, he reported on political and grassroots battles over natural gas (aka methane) infrastructure and its local and global climate consequences. His first book is Fire and Ice: Soot, Solidarity, and Survival on the Roof of the World.
