Author Information

Pam Cooper was born in West Hartlepool and educated there at the Girls' High School, then at Girton College, Cambridge. She recalls her Girton days as the best three years of her life. Following this, she taught chemistry and later moved into the NHS to work in health education, specialising in cancer education. In 1995 she married Geoff Cooper and so began their joint adventures in India, ending in his sudden death in Jaipur in September 2019. Later, Pam continued her travels alone. In retirement she enjoys travel, writing, and voluntary and charity work.
