This author knows her stuff. Easy to use even for a beginner, this is the book for your library. If you want professional photographs of the night sky this is way shorter than years of trying. This is one book you need to have if you love taking photos in low light and complete darkness. What I love about the book is how it flows. It is a perfect teaching tool for night photography The author does an excellent job of explaining the best methods for taking night photographs in terms that are easily understood and using a camera and lens that you probably already own. I've read other books about night photography using a digital camera and while some of them were very good, this one is my favorite because it covers several types of night photography using simple instructions and explanations. I think that Beth Ruggiero-York's book will soon become the standard for anyone wanting to learn or increase their knowledge of night photography.

Beth Ruggiero York is an award-winning and published photographer with a passion for night and travel photography. From the first time she tried night photography under a starry sky in Alaska, she was hooked. Beth teaches photography workshops in the US as well as to Europe, China, Mongolia and other parts of Asia, and if they are not specifically night photography workshops, night photography is always a component of every workshop. Beth is based in Arizona, USA.
