Author Information

"Julia Green is an author, illustrator, and singer who enjoys having ""too many"" interests. She proudly declares herself a brand ambassador of the phrase ""specialization is for robots."" Her husband, Craig, is held hostage to her endless curiosity and endures many one-way ""conversations,"" beginning with the phrase, ""Wanna know a fun fact?"" Julia has always had one foot in the visual arts and one in the performing arts. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Sam Houston State University and has taken scenic painting and animation courses. After a successful five-year stint as a freelance illustrator, Julia took on her current role as a Project Manager at Scenic Art Studios in Newburgh, NY-premiere Broadway drop shop. Julia is a passionate feminist, avid reader, and enthusiastic sharer of lesser-known stories. Her debut picture book, ""Francesca the Fabulous Feminist Flamingo,"" amalgamates all her interests- nonboring nonfiction with a theatrical flair. Julia currently lives and works in the vibrant artistic community of the Hudson Valley, NY. She enjoys a happy life with her hostage husband, lovely stepdaughter, and semi-abusive pet conure, Pebbles."
