Author Information

Rev. Dr. Richard Lane Stryker III is an advocate for peace, justice and reconciliation. He is married to Jennie Harris Stryker and they have two children, Waddy and Finda. He is currently a District Superintendent in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. In 1986 he received the Bachelor of Theology degree from Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned the Master of Arts in Religion degree in 1989 and the Master of Divinity degree in 1993 from Memphis Theological Seminary, Tennessee. He earned the Doctor of Ministry from The School of Theology - The University of the South, Sewanee in 2009. He is author of the books, Forged from Chaos: Stories and Reflections from Liberia at War and Large Barns, No Barns and Twenty-first Century Greed. Stryker is committed to social change. He is a pastor and community leader who believes in a brighter and better future for all persons.
