Smith has spent his career writing music that fuses traditional and contemporary elements into songs that inspire and unite communities of all ages. This broad approach can readily be found in the psalm collection, Forever I Will Sing, as well as his recent OCP publication, Mass of the Sacred Heart, which features melodies, harmonies and rhythms that transcend both age and idiom. Mass of the Sacred Heart includes scores and tracks for both piano/guitar and organ/brass ensembles, Some of Tim's well-known liturgical compositions include: Give Me Ears To Listen, Changing Lives Together, Voice Of Christ, In The Breaking of the Bread, and Alleluia! Alleluia! Let the Holy Anthem Rise. Favorite psalm settings include In Every Age, Give Thanks to the Lord, and My God, My God. Tim's ministry has taken him across the United States, conducting parish missions, men's retreats, music ministry workshops that engage, educate and inspire. His presentations feature music designed to engage participation or foster prayerful reflection. Smith has a Bachelor of Music degree from Michigan State University and Master of Music degree from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he received the Distinguished Musicianship Award. Tim and his wife, Kim, have three children and live in Waterford, Michigan. He is Director of Music at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Waterford, MI.
