Overview

Paul Ainsworth has spent a lifetime working in Michelin-starred kitchens – from Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London to his own Restaurant No6 in Cornwall. Working with quality produce and alongside the UK’s best chefs, he’s learnt that seriously good food and comforting classics are key to a truly flavourful life. ‘A fabulous debut book that makes you hungry’ – ANGELA HARTNETT OBE ‘Dish after dish that you want to cook again and again. A must-have book for every home cook’ – TOM KERRIDGE with a foreword from GORDON RAMSAY Paul makes it simple, really – you can’t go wrong when you’ve got a solid recipe, beautiful ingredients, and are cooking with love. In For the Love of Food, Paul invites you into a world of warm, welcoming, and joyfully crafted dishes that redefine everyday enjoyment. It is a treasure trove for those seeking an elevated dining experience at home. Timeless table favourites are packed with gourmet flavour; effortlessly bridging the gap between traditional home cooking and restaurant quality-food. This refreshing cookbook serves up beloved Italian dishes like those at Caffè Rojano (BBQ Mackerel Bruchetta with Pesto Mayonnaise), savour herby pastas influenced by Paul’s time at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (Brown Butter Pumpkin Tortelli with Parmesan, Sage and Biscottii), relish unbeatable seafood dishes inspired by Paul Ainsworth at No6 (Whole Baked Lemon Sole with Camel Valley Sauce) and cosy up to comforting classics reminiscent of fireside moments at The Mariners (Toad-in-the-hole Ainsworth-style). Achievable for both seasoned chefs and aspiring home cooks alike.

Reviews

‘In addition to the predictably great recipes, Paul’s introduction is completely heartfelt, and I love the illustrations and photography running thorough the book’ – Rick Stein 'Paul is that rarest of chefs. He works with breathtaking skill, focus and passion and yet never forgets to squeeze every ounce of joy from life! His food is a direct expression of that way of living, beautiful joyful and completely stunningly delicious' – Andi Oliver ‘What a magical, amazing, and brilliant long-awaited book. Paul has that rare ability to be able to create beautiful, quality dishes, with outstanding chef technique but make them completely accessible, homely and throw our repeatedly dish after dish that you want to cook again and again. A must have cook for every home cook’ – Tom Kerridge ‘It is no surprise to me that Paul’s first book is packed with so many super dishes for people to cook at home, when you consider the person who has created them. Paul has been working extremely hard over the years to create his own unique style in his restaurants and pub in Cornwall, and that is showcased on every page of this wonderful collection of personally inspired recipes. Paul and his team should be extremely proud of what they have created and I am sure his book will become a firm favourite within people’s cookery book collections’ – Nathan Outlaw ‘Dive into this beautiful collection of evocative recipes & stories full of love and coastal inspiration. Simply joyful’ – Emily Scott

'Paul is that rarest of chefs. He works with breathtaking skill, focus and passion and yet never forgets to squeeze every ounce of joy from life! His food is a direct expression of that way of living, beautiful joyful and completely stunningly delicious.' – Andi Oliver ‘I’ve long admired Paul’s cooking and work ethic. He, and his incredible wife Emma, have created one of the country’s most impressive restaurant empires. Now – 18 years in the making – he is celebrating his first ever cookbook! He has a brilliant knack for creating memories with his food; something that shines through in this collection of recipes. A whole chapter on custard too? My god, yes please.’ – Richard Corrigan 'Truly magnificent book by a masterful cook. There’s something here for everyone, and many of the dishes are so brilliantly British but with Paul’s clever twists and touches – a marvellous porridge, Scotch eggs, sensational sandwiches, his granny’s chip butty, a glorious, show-stopping trifle… Delicious, fun and mouth-watering, this is Paul’s first book and it is first-class. For the Love of Food – I absolutely love it!’ – Raymond Blanc ‘In addition to the predictably great recipes, Paul’s writing is completely heartfelt.’ – Rick Stein ‘What a magical, amazing, and brilliant long-awaited book. Paul has that rare ability to be able to create beautiful, quality dishes, with outstanding chef technique but make them completely accessible and homely. Dish after dish that you want to cook again and again. A must have cook for every home cook.’ – Tom Kerridge 'A fabulous debut book that makes you hungry. Paul has grown from a cheeky young chef to a wonderful, passionate restaurateur.’ – Angela Hartnett OBE
