Lanny Waitsman was born in 1951 in Chicago, IL. He has lived in and around the city most of his life, except for sojourns to Rockford, IL, and Normal, IL while attending college. He has a B. S. in Philosophy from Illinois State University. He currently lives in Evanston, IL, with his female cat Saphira. He has worked on assembly lines, as a graphic production artist, a graphic designer, a real estate agent, and has retired from twenty years in IT doing desktop support. He has published a fantasy novel titled Blade Gavotte, a science fiction novel Terrekonos, and has other novels and many short stories in the works.
