OverviewWhat if transformation was not just a change, but a sacred spiral-one that roots you deeper into the earth even as it lifts you toward your truest self? In Food For Roots, Alison Smith invites you on a poetic pilgrimage through Arrival, Awakening, and Activism-a journey that begins in quiet wonder and culminates in a call to collective renewal. With language as lush and nourishing as the natural world it celebrates, this collection is a companion for anyone seeking meaning in a time of upheaval. Smith's poems are meditations for the soul: they find sanctuary in the ordinary, unearth the stories that shape us, and ignite the courage to reimagine our world. From the delicate flight of a bee to the fierce reclamation of voice and body, Food For Roots is both balm and blueprint-a lyrical offering for those hungry to heal, to hope, and to become whole. Let these poems feed your roots. Let them awaken your senses, stir your memories, and inspire you to be the change you wish to see. The metamorphosis begins here.
