This work attempts to synthesize research on the evolution of flowers of Angiosperms. The author has reconciled the so-called conventional descriptive botanical approache with the more recent molecular approach, in order to more effectively put them in perspective. The emphasis is on the diversity of strategies of fertilization that constitutes one of the characteristics of Angiosperms. The book is aimed at students of the second cycle of plant iology and pharmacy, candidates for higher studies in the earth and life sciences, and teachers and researchers.
