Overview

In November 2021, disaster struck the Sumas Prairie in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia. A massive, heavy rainfall made land causing floods and mudslides - destroying homes, livelihoods and lives. Flood is a firsthand account of one woman's experience on her family's chicken farm, before, during and after the flood. The events unfold moment-to-moment through journal entries that detail the intense physical and mental impact of the disaster as the author works to save her farm.
