He is the author of Motherhood and the Other: Fashioning Female Power in Flavian Epic (Oxford) and Plautus' Mercator (Bryn Mawr). He has edited Brill's Companion to Silius Italicus (Leiden), Ritual and Religion in Flavian Epic (Oxford), and co-edited the Blackwell Companion to Terence (with Ariana Traill).
