OverviewFlame retardancy was imparted in cellulosic cotton material using banana pseudo-stem sap (BPS) and spinacia oleracea juice (SJ), an eco-friendly natural products. The extracted juice has been made alkaline by using a certain chemicals and then applied to a bleached cotton fabric by using a padding mangle. Flame resistant properties of both treated and untreated fabrics were analyzed in terms of limited oxygen index (LOI), flammability test and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results were recorded. Besides, its application it produces an natural color on the fabric.In same way, Flame retardancy was imparted in cellulosic cotton material using borax, the flame resistant coating has been applied to a bleached cotton fabric by using a padding mangle. Then the flame resistant properties of both treated and untreated fabric were analyzed in terms of limited oxygen index (LOI), flammability test and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results were recorded. And finally among this three flame resistancy we should compare which flame resistancy would be effective.All the flame imparted fabrics were sewn into kitchen textile product such as apron, kitchen towel and mittens.
