OverviewThings happen in the mountains. Strange, happy, sad, melancholic and funny things. This is a collection of real-life stories about what happens when you put a family of flatlanders on a Canadian mountain, renting out cottages. Read about boomerang skunk, fish falling from the sky and chickens who are not quite what they seem. Steffen looks at events through a biologist's lens with honesty, vulnerability and humour. Originally written as a bit of silly entertainment for guests of the Cottages in the Woods now everyone who has ever wondered what would happen if they left their regular life behind and settled on a mountain can share in the comical, sometimes challenging and always unexpected. Steffen worked for many years in Calgary as environmental consultant and as part-time teacher at the university, before moving to beautiful Boswell, British Columbia. As a Dutch immigrant, he is ecstatic to now live as he once - when he was a child in Europe - imagined all Canadians did, save for the pet moose: ) Full Product DetailsAuthor: Steffen SpoelstraPublisher: Independently Published Imprint: Independently Published Dimensions: Width: 12.70cm , Height: 0.70cm , Length: 20.30cm Weight: 0.132kg ISBN: 9798805372866Pages: 114 Publication Date: 18 April 2022 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: In stock We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
